Faculty Dean
The mandate of DGSRE is to oversee Graduate Studies, Research and Publication, and Enterprise at Uganda Martyrs University in collaboration with the various Faculties and disciplines of the University. Currently graduate academic Programmes at UMU include 4 PhDs, 34 Masters, and 5 Post Graduate Diplomas. The mandate is managed by a team of both academic and administrative staff in charge of Graduate Admission processes, overseeing teaching, learning and research, as well as communication of research outputs.
The Directorate hosts the Uganda Martyrs University Press, which runs the Uganda Martyrs Book Series, Mtafiti Mwafrika (African Researcher) monograph series, and the Journal of Science and Sustainable Development. It also hosts the Center for African Studies, and works with Faculties/Schools/Institutes, which manage the curriculum under their dockets. DGSRE boasts of being an academic unit with national and international reputation. We strongly believe in collaborative work. From inception, DGSRE has envisaged itself as a bedrock of great initiatives, energies, and innovations. Our conviction is that we will grow in all spheres in the coming years and will greatly contribute to the development of our country and region.
