Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences is a Faculty of Uganda Martyrs University based at Fort Portal Campus, offering engineering courses with strong emphasis on practical, demand-driven training locally and internationally.

The main thrust of the Faculty consists in training engineering professionals across Civil, Electrical and Mechanical disciplines, with emphasis on research, innovation and hands-on practical skills, equipping graduates with the technical competence and entrepreneurial mindset needed to solve real engineering challenges facing Uganda and the region today.

The Faculty aspires to become a leading centre of international repute in engineering professional training, comprising a community of scholars, lecturers and students whose research and innovation transform national development. Emphasis is placed on sustainability, environmental conservation, and renewable energy, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application through industry-relevant, hands-on training programmes today.

As a teaching and research institution of Uganda Martyrs University, the Faculty was established to close Uganda’s engineering skills gap, training technologists, technicians and craftsmen equipped to meet the country’s growing infrastructure, industrialization, and human capital development needs.

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences is offered at Fort Portal Campus, training engineers and technologists across Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines today.
