Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science is a pioneer Faculty of Uganda Martyrs University, home to the Departments of Computer Science and Information Systems and Natural Sciences, training competent scientists for Uganda and beyond.
The main thrust of the Faculty consists in providing high-level scientific manpower training, encouraging inter-disciplinary teaching across Faculties and strong staff-student relationships, while offering Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate of Philosophy programmes across a wide range of scientific and technological fields today.
The Faculty aspires to be a model and reputable centre of excellence in research, innovation, teaching and community engagement, comprising a community of scholars, lecturers, students and alumni whose scientific and technological work transforms the quality of learning and practice through sound, critical, up-to-date and practical engagement with real-world challenges today.
As a research and teaching institution of Uganda Martyrs University, the Faculty was established to provide degrees, diplomas and certificate programmes in computer science, information systems and natural sciences suited to the demands of a modern, technology-driven global economy.
