Faculty of Health Sciences

The Faculty of Health Sciences is one of ten Faculties of Uganda Martyrs University, based at Rubaga Campus, established in 2005 from the former Department of Health Sciences under Business Administration.

The main thrust of the Faculty consists in advancing knowledge and improving health sector performance through training health managers, promoters and public health specialists, offering ten programmes across Master’s, Bachelor’s, Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate levels in health services management, public health, and health promotion today.

The Faculty aspires to build a critical mass of competent and responsible public health professionals, comprising a community of scholars, lecturers and students whose research and training transform healthcare systems locally and internationally. Emphasis is placed on integrity, managerial competence, and staying at the cutting edge of health management, policy, and public health research today.

As a research and teaching institution of Uganda Martyrs University, the Faculty was established to close Uganda’s health workforce gap, training managers, promoters and public health officials equipped to meet the country’s growing healthcare and health policy needs.

The Faculty of Health Sciences is offered at Rubaga Campus, training health managers and public health specialists across Health Services Management and Public Health disciplines today.
