Uganda Martyrs University is proud to enroll 280+ international and exchange students and visiting scholars from around the world.
The international students and faculty come to our campuses to learn, teach and conduct research. In the past two academic years, UMU community has been graced by students and faculty from Canada, United States of America, United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, Pakistan, The Netherlands, India, Senegal, Ghana, Liberia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Ethiopia, Somalia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan, the neighboring East African Countries among others.
UMU international community, including the alumni around the world, participates in all campus activities namely seminars/webinars, sports, students’ clubs, student leadership, social activities and cultural week events comprised of food exhibition, dance, drama and general entertainment.
The rich and diverse culture and experiences in and outside classroom help builds confidence among the students community.
The Academic Linkages Desk works hands in hand with the Dean of Students Office to proudly support the 280+ individuals representing over 50 countries around the world to overcome cultural shock, tour the country, and most importantly acquire the suitable visas for their legal stay in Uganda.
