Organised with the aim of convening scholars to showcase and share knowledge emerging from their initiatives, research, and innovations that promote sustainable development in Africa and beyond, the UMU 16th Annual Research Conference attracted 56 manuscripts covering diverse dimensions of sustainable development.
The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Patrick Kyamanywa, Vice Chancellor, Uganda Martyrs University, on “University Investments in Research, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability towards the Achievement of Sustainable Development.” Other presenters will share their work under four sub-themes, as highlighted in the programme.
The Directorate of Graduate Studies, Research and Enterprise, in collaboration with the Faculties of Agriculture and Health Sciences, extends its appreciation to the University Management for the support that has made this conference possible. The publications arising from this conference will provide academia, policymakers, planners, practitioners, and other stakeholders with valuable scholarly insights across disciplines underpinning sustainable development.
The UMU Annual Research Conference is one of the many fora convened by the University to provide staff, students, professionals, industry actors, communities, policymakers, and other stakeholders with opportunities to network, build partnerships, and exchange knowledge essential for informed decision-making across all domains of sustainable development. The conference is funded under the University Research Fund, and participation is open to all stakeholders, free of charge.
