
Advert: Application call for the Academic Year 2025/26 (the August 2025 intake)
Uganda Martyrs University is now accepting applications on both undergraduate and graduate programmes for the Academic Year 2025/2026. This opening caters for both national and international students who meet the University application requirements.
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Postgraduate Programmes:
PhD Applicants – A Master’s degree in a relevant area from a recognized University. A Second Class Honours degree from a Chartered Institution in a recognized field or in exceptional circumstances, professional qualifications in a related field will be required.
Masters Applicants – In addition to a relevant Bachelor’s Degree Academic Documents, candidates are required to pass the UMU Graduate Admission Test (GAT) and have two years of working experience in the relevant field.
Undergraduate Programmes:
Bachelors Applicants – A Minimum of Two (2) Principle Passes in the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or an equivalent obtained at the same sitting, or equivalent. Diploma holders, a Credit or 2nd Class are also invited to apply for Bachelor Programmes. For all those applying for Distance Learning, relevant Certified Academic documents are required.
Diploma Applicants – A Minimum of One (1) Principle Pass in the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or an equivalent in the subjects relevant to the programme applied for, or Certificate holders with a Credit or 2nd Class in related field.
Certificate Applicants – Candidates should have obtained Five (5) Passes in the Uganda Certificate of Education or an equivalent at one sitting.
UMU programmes are accredited by the National Council for Higher Education and recognised by the corresponding Professional Bodies in Uganda. Delivering of lectures is always a hybrid of Face-to-Face, Online and Distance Learning modes of teaching and learning.
